• USDA and AUPB Project: Results of Monitoring of Enteric Pathogens and Their Resistance in Pigs

    As part of the joint project of the Association of Ukrainian Pig Breeders (AUPB) and the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) "Animal Health in Ukraine", microbiological monitoring of bacterial pathogens in pigs was conducted for the first time to determine antibiotic susceptibility using the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) method, taking into account the clinical picture.

  • The Second Stage of the USDA and AUPB project: Free Testing for Pig Farms

    This year 50 pig farms were given the opportunity to test feed ingredients for mycotoxins and 25 were given the opportunity for comprehensive veterinary testing.

    Since the beginning of January 2024, the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Association of Ukrainian Pig Breeders (AUPB) have been implementing the second phase of the Animal Health in Ukraine project, aimed at supporting pork producers in the area of epizootic welfare.
